As the NBA finals are halfway over (see what I did there) and I watch these games, I enter into the realm of analogous reflection. The Cleveland Cavaliers are extremely out matched yet LeBron James plays with a sense of purpose unmatched by anyone else on the court. I am a LeBron Hater, yet I can respect the fact that he is playing his heart out. It is apparent he has the "GO HARD OR GO HOME" mentality engraved into his subconscious. If only everyone applied that sense of urgency and focus into their own proficiency. One of my favorite emcee duos, Tiron and Ayomari asked the rhetorical question "If all you had to do was music would you do it?". It's a question about drive and passion. Would you have what it takes to follow your dreams and achieve you aspirations? GO HARD OR GO HOME If you are a promoter... PROMOTE HARD OR GO HOME. If you are a musician... PLAY HARD OR GO HOME. If you are an engineer.. MIX THAT SHIT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT.
If you are flipping burgers... FLIP THAT SHIT AND STACK THAT $$$$$$$$$
There isn't enough light in the day or time in the year for people to half-ass their passions. The truth is that some days you are not going to feel up to the task, some days you will have self-doubt, some days life gets in the way... But most days should be spent honing, perfecting, practicing, analyzing, and doing the craft you claim you love. BE THE LEBON JAMES OF YOUR LIFE.
